FERC Authorizes First U.S. West Coast LNG Terminal |

On Thursday, FERC voted 4-1 to authorize the first new liquefied natural gas ("LNG") import terminal and related sendout pipeline on the West Coast of the United States to serve rising energy demand in the Pacific Northwest. Commissioner Jon Wellinghoff was the lone dissenting vote.
