New York State Governor, Andrew M. Cuomo's proposed revisions to the state's Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) under the recently released Budget Bill, which will make it harder to qualify for entry into the BCP, include: limits the cleanup and site preparation costs eligible for tax credits, eliminates tax credits for redevelopment costs unless a particular brownfield site satisfies separate and new eligibility criteria, and eliminates tax credits for environmental insurance.
