In its 2008 Open Letter, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services continued its categorical approach to defining for potential Provider Self-Disclosure Protocol (SDP) participants the likely benefits of self-reporting civil health care fraud.
