In the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rule for 2009 (the "Final PFS"), issued on October 30, 2008, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) deferred or modified previously proposed rules which would have imposed significant restrictions on the ability of physician groups to provide diagnostic imaging services.
