USEPA Scrutinizing Wastewater Discharges from Power Plants and Health Care Facilities

Based on its annual review of wastewater discharges, the United States Environmental Protection Agency announced on December 21, 2006 that it will continue to examine discharges from steam electric generating plants and will further examine whether pretreatment is necessary for wastewater discharges from hospitals and other healthcare facilities. 71 Fed. Reg. 76644.
