Letter from Martindale: Shortly after becoming general counsel of Habitat for Humanity International,
Elizabeth K. ¿Liz¿ Blake reconnected with C. Lash Harrison of Ford &
Harrison LLP for lunch. With thousands of employees, the global nonprofit and
its affiliates have a great need for legal services but modest resources. Ford &
Harrison is always seeking effective opportunities for training its young lawyers.
Harrison struck on a novel solution for both: Now the firm provides Habitat
with pro bono services, and its associates manage the client relationship with
Habitat and its affiliates from first contact to invoicing.
