European Commission Assesses €20 Million Fine for Failure to Notify |

The European Commission has assessed an unprecedented 20 million euro fine on the energy company Electrabel for failing to receive Commission approval prior to its merger with Compagnie Nationale du Rhone (CNR), as required under the E.C. Merger Regulation (ECMR).
