ITC Institutes Investigation (337-TA-848) Regarding Certain Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits

On June 7, 2012, the U.S. International Trade Commission issued a press release announcing their vote to institute an investigation of Certain Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits and Devices Containing Same (Inv. No. 337-TA-848).

The investigation is based on a February 15, 2012 complaint filed on behalf of Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation of San Diego, California, alleging violation of Section 337 in the importation into the U.S. and sale of certain radio frequency integrated circuits and devices containing same that infringe one or more claims of 7,910,993; 7,123,898; 7,460,852; 7,796,969; and 7,860,499. According to the Notice of Investigation, the ITC has identified RF Micro Devices, Inc. of Greensboro, North Carolina; Motorola Mobility, Inc. of Libertyville, Illinois; HTC America, Inc. of Bellevue, Washington; and HTC Corporation of Taiwan, as respondents in this investigation.
