The Obama Administration, through the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has indicated its support for 1) requiring federal contractors to use E-Verify to confirm the employment eligibility of their workers; and 2) the government's use of information gained through data-mining the E-Verify database its information as an investigatory tool to uncover unauthorized use of the system and/or employer practices indicative of knowingly employing illegal aliens.
