On April 24, 2012, the President of the Republic issued Decree Nš 8,920 (the Decree) establishing an increase of 30% in the minimum salary of public and private sector workers. This increase shall become effective May 1, 2012, with an increase equal to 15%, followed by an increase equal to 15% on September 1, 2012. Below are the most significant aspects of the Decree.
