The ABA Standing Committee on Ethics issued Formal Opinion 08450 which reviews potentially conflicting obligations of an attorney representing multiple clients when the attorney obtains privileged information from one client that is detrimental to the disclosing client's interests but potentially helpful to the interests of the non-disclosing client.
