On October 6, 2009, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced that it had settled charges brought against six different companies for misrepresenting that they were in compliance with the U.S.- EU Safe Harbor framework (Safe Harbor). These settlements mark the second time within the last two months that the FTC has settled a claim relating to the Safe Harbor, and may signal new scrutiny by the FTC into Safe Harbor compliance...
