Martindale Pulse: Bonuses, Options and Specialization Drive Compensation Gains

Total cash compensation for in-house lawyer positions in U.S. corporate law departments rose across the board in 2007, according to the new Law Department Compensation Benchmarking Survey published by LexisNexis Martindale- Hubbell and Altman Weil, Inc. Bonus compensation was a major driver of that increase, and stock options remained a significant compensation element.
