The following summarizes those provisions of the 2005 Energy Policy Act ("Act") that pertain to the sale and transportation of natural gas subject to the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ("FERC"), as well as certain provisions that relate to the tax treatment to be accorded natural gas gathering and distribution lines.
