On April 23, 2004, the Federal Circuit vacated and remanded the district court's summary judgment that ICOS did not infringe U.S. Patents No. 6,064,756 and No. 6,064,757, which related to the inspection of electronic components, including ball array devices, ball grid arrays, chip scale packages, and bump on wafers, used to conduct electrical impulses in electrical devices.. The Federal Circuit stated:
