NERC Submits Four Notices of Penalty to FERC

On May 1, 2009, NERC submitted the following four NOPs to FERC:

(1)  NERC provided notice of Wisconsin Public Service Corporation’s penalty associated with two self-certified violations of Reliability Standard PRC-005-1, R1 and R2.1.  NERC did not propose a financial penalty in the notice of penalty.

(2)  NERC provided notice of Northern States Power Companies’ penalty associated with a self-reported  violation of Reliability Standard EOP-001-0, R5.  NERC did not propose a financial penalty in the notice of penalty.

(3)  NERC provided notice of Northern States Power Companies’ penalty associated with a self-reported violation of Reliability Standard VAR-001-1, R3 and R4.  NERC did not propose a financial penalty in the notice of penalty.

(4)  NERC provided notice of Kissimmee Utility Authority’s penalty regarding a violation of Reliability Standard VAR-001-1, R3 and R4 that was discovered during an on-site compliance audit.  NERC did not propose a financial penalty in the notice of penalty.
