About this office:

Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP serves clients in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Domestically, we rank among the American Lawyer 100 and The National Law Journal's Top 50 law firms. For more than 25 years, we have provided our clients with a full range of experienced and innovative legal services. At Wilson Elser, we offer clients a strong national presence, with offices in 20 cities across the United States. The firm provides international scope through its office in London, as well as through a network of affiliate firms in France, Germany and Mexico.

The lawyers of Wilson Elser enjoy a strong reputation among judges and fellow lawyers in each of their respective markets. Dedicated to providing experienced and cost-effective client representation, our lawyers also participate in a variety of local, national and international legal organizations that set the standards for the profession. In addition to being recognized as leaders in today's legal profession, some of our lawyers are experienced accountants, architects, former judges and engineers, along with legal nurse consultants. With state-of-the-art support systems and technology at their disposal, Wilson Elser lawyers provide timely and efficient legal solutions to all clients.

Wilson Elser has operated an office in Miami for almost 20 years. We provide legal services in the areas of commercial and business litigation, general and professional liability, health care law, insurance coverage, employment and product liability. With more than 25 attorneys, we have decades of experience and handle a wide variety of case issues.

The attorneys in the Miami office deal with a host of professional liability cases, defending attorneys, accountants, architects, engineers, surveyors and insurance brokers. Our attorneys have given educational presentations on accountant's professional liability issues before the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and to accounting groups throughout Florida.

Our fully integrated securities practice focuses on defense of class action and traditional litigation, broker/dealer litigation and arbitration. Also, the practice focuses on the defense of licensed individuals entangled with investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies. We also represent clients before the National Association of Securities Dealers, the New York Stock Exchange and the state of Florida.

As with all our offices, litigation related to general liability insurance is a prime area for our lawyers. The practices of Wilson Elser Miami attorneys include the defense of clients against claims involving residential and commercial buildings, educational institutions, supermarkets, recreational and sports facilities, malls and restaurants. The firm is also very involved in the defense of senior living facilities, including skilled nursing homes, assisted living facilities and independent living facilities. Wilson Elser has defended more than 100 cases affecting such facilities throughout Florida in recent years.

Our employment law attorneys handle cases involving wrongful termination, age and race discrimination, sexual harassment, and health and disability issues. Affirmative action and labor matters are other areas addressed by our legal team.

Given Miami's strategic location at the gateway to Latin America, our attorneys also serve some specialized international functions. One of our Miami attorneys acts as monitoring counsel for litigation brought in Central America, South America and Puerto Rico against U.S.-based multinational corporations, and as supervising counsel and attorney of record in the United States for Mexican insurers and their insureds in hotel and product liability suits.
