The Florida Workers' Compensation Joint Underwriting Association ("FWCJUA") Audit Committee ("Committee") met today, August 15, 2012, during which it unanimously agreed to recommend to the FWCJUA Board of Governors ("Board") that it extend the organization's independent financial auditor's engagement to include the 2013 FWCJUA financial audit.

This Board action would be an extension of the three-year engagement currently in place, which allows for two one-year extensions.

At its May 2012 meeting, the Committee officially confirmed the FWCJUA's 2012 financial auditor, with a Board member stating that the auditor "has done a great job."  Although the 2012 audit was part of the original three-year engagement, the Committee has the annual option to consider hiring a different auditor, or confirm the existing engagement.

The FWCJUA Board is scheduled to meet September 12, 2012 in Sarasota, Florida.
