Group Profile:
LawExchange International is an independent group of law firms providing readily accessible and informed legal advice within
their countries for clients of member firms. The organisation unites corresponding law firms in major centres of commerce, industry,
high technology and research across Europe, America and the Pacific Rim.
The current membership of LawExchange International includes European firms based in England, France, Germany, Italy Belgium,
Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Spain and Portugal. In North America there are members in Chicago, San Diego, Raleigh and Boston. There
are also member firms in Australia, China, Singapore and India.
LawExchange International offers a well-integrated group of commercially minded law firms whose members are committed to providing
clients with consistent and high quality services delivered by experienced practitioners within each jurisdiction.
This is invaluable, not only in terms of removing language and administrative barriers, but also in ensuring client access to direct
knowledge of local law and procedures applicable to key business areas such as intellectual property, corporate and commercial law,
employment law, tax and litigation.
LawExchange International members are in regular contact with each other not only to provide professional updates on international
and European Union legal matters but also to maintain the close working relationships which are essential to ensure the continuity
and quality of services which clients rightly expect.
The cohesion and effectiveness of the grouping is underpinned by formal meetings of constituent members on a rotational basis in
each member country to review performance, information exchange and service range. This is further enhanced by working exchanges
between member firms.
The establishment of LawExchange International has enabled members and their clients to realise the benefits of well-chosen and
dependable global relationships coupled with quick and easy access to high quality advice.
Each of the constituent members of the grouping is experienced in company and commercial law within its own country and is able to
advise colleagues in other countries on particular aspects that may affect cross-border and national transactions.
Equally, each member is able to refer clients to colleagues within the organisation, confident that they will receive high quality
advice and service.
It is anticipated that additional firms will be joining the existing 18 member firms in the near future, enabling LawExchange
International to expand its sphere of operation still further, whilst retaining the closeness of the relationships between member
firms which has given the group its strength and dynamism.
LawExchange International maintains effective links with law firms in jurisdictions in which it does not have members. These links
are available for the benefit of clients needing to refer matters to a lawyer in those countries. |
