On November 20, 2013, the U.S. International Trade Commission issued a press release announcing their vote to institute an investigation of Certain Windshield Wipers and Components Thereof (Inv. No. 337-TA-902).
The investigation is based on an October 21, 2013 complaint and November 7, 2013 letter supplementing the complaint filed by Trico Products Corporation of Rochester Hills, Michigan alleging violation of Section 337 in the importation into the U.S. and sale of certain windshield wipers and components thereof that infringe one or more claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,836,925 and 6,799,348.
According to the Notice of Investigation, the Commission has identified Federal-Mogul Corp. of Southfield, Michigan and Federal Mogul S.A. of Belgium as respondents in this investigation.
Lastly, Chief ALJ Charles E. Bullock issued a notice indicating that Theodore R. Essex will be the presiding Administrative Law Judge in this investigation.
