After Mr. Smith completed a clerkship with a justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court, Mr. Smith worked as a commercial litigator for several years, and then became the Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Mexico. Thereafter, he became Director of the Workers Compensation Administration for the State of New Mexico for four years, where he had oversight and management of the Workers Compensation Administration, an agency that makes determinations regarding workers’ compensation cases and maintains a quasi-judicial system for workers’ compensation cases.Mr. Smith, now at Landry & Ludewig, handles in large part research and writing for the Firm’s complex commercial cases as well as discovery and discovery-related issues.
