Marisol Garcia practices in the areas of residential mortgage foreclosures and related areas representing lenders and servicers before New Mexico State Courts and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Mexico. After graduation from law school, Marisol represented debtors and creditors in Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings. Subsequently, she joined a civil litigation firm and represented insurance carriers, insureds and employers in the State and Federal Court and in proceedings before the New Mexico Workers Compensation Administration. Beginning in 2008, Marisol served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mark B. McFeeley and his successor the Honorable Robert H. Jacobvitz in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Mexico. In 2011, she transferred to the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico to serve as law clerk for United States Magistrate Judge Robert Hayes Scott until his retirement in 2015. Before pursuing a law career, Marisol was an underwriter for health insurance companies.
