Edwin L. Pear joined the firm in 1966.

Mr. Pear is a lifelong resident of Washtenaw County in Michigan and has been in private practice since 1966. His practice is devoted to business matters, real estate, and estate planning. Mr. Pear was an instructor of business law at Cleary College and was the Ann Arbor City Attorney from 1973 to 1975. He is a recognized estate planning expert and is listed in Michigan Super Lawyers for 2009, 2010, and 2011 under Estate Planning & Probate. Mr. Pear has extensive experience in real estate law having successfully handled and negotiated countless real estate transactions of significant value including commercial and residential real estate transactions and lease arrangements for buyers, sellers, developers, landlords, and tenants. His expertise and experience in general business matters ranges from business formation and operation (corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and limited partnerships) mergers, acquisitions, sales/purchases and business and commercial litigation.
