  • Qualifying nonprofit institutions may now sell pharmaceuticals to their retired employees consistent with the terms of the Nonprofit Institutions Act. The Federal Trade Commission recently (March 2002) issued an advisory opinion to the Connecticut Hospital Association clarifying its position on the sale of pharmaceuticals by nonprofit hospitals.
