Biography

Howard Gum has been practicing family law and serving clients throughout Western North Carolina since 1976. He is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has been recognized for numerous awards based on his service and professional excellence. Since 2006, he has consistently been selected to North Carolina's “Super Lawyers”, an honor enjoyed by only the top 5% of lawyers in the state, and has been continuously listed in Best Lawyers in America for more than 25 years. His peers have rated him a 5.0 – the highest “AV” rating – through the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating process based on his high ethical standards and professional ability.

Hobbies & interests:
Howard is an avid outdoors man, and enjoys fishing, hunting, sport shooting and other related activities on his farm in Georgia. Howard has two big boxers who are all attention and best buds when the grill gets fired up. He and his wife Christine cherish their time at the farm, nestled in Savannah River Valley near the shores of Lake Richard B. Russell, and spend as many quiet weekends and holidays there as possible. A sportsman's paradise, its no wonder Howard's smiling.
