Biography

J. Michael Lamberth is a senior partner at Lamberth, Cifelli, Stokes, Ellis & Nason, P.A., a unique client oriented “boutique” bankruptcy/commercial litigation firm. His areas of practice include Bankruptcy, Workouts, and Reorganizations; Bankruptcy Related Litigation; and Business Law and Commercial Litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University magna cum laude and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, with distinction. Georgia Trend Magazine has recognized him as a “Super Lawyer” and named him as one of “Georgia’s Legal Elite.” He has utilized his leadership strengths and skills by serving with the State Bar of Georgia as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Bankruptcy Section; as a member of the Georgia State Bar Evidence Study Committee; and as a member of the Standing Committee on Rules.
Michael has been Lawyer Delegate to the Eleventh Circuit Judicial Conference on six occasions. He served on the Advisory Committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, for six years. He is currently serving on the Bench and Bar Committee for the Bankruptcy Court of the Northern District of Georgia.
Michael has lectured and written numerous materials dealing with debtor/creditor and bankruptcy law. These include materials or seminar presentations on: Problem Loans and Workouts; Bankruptcy for the Non- Specialist; and Judgment Enforcement in Georgia.
