Mr. McKinley also represents car dealers on various legal matters, including claims involving express and implied warranties, lemon law, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, fraud, bad faith, and other alleged breaches of contractual and tort obligations. He is a member of the National Association of Dealer Counsel.
Mr. McKinley previously served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia, practicing in the Environmental and Civil Rights Litigation Sections of the Law Department and was also a partner at another Atlanta law firm.
Mr. McKinley has been recognized in the Super Lawyer's edition of Atlanta Magazine as a "Rising Star" and one of the "Top Young Lawyers in Georgia." Mr. McKinley is a member of the American Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association. Mr. McKinley has been actively involved in the Georgia High School Mock Trial Program since 2002, including serving as an attorney coach.
Mr. McKinley was born in Falls Church, Virginia. During law school, Mr. McKinley served on the Managing Board as an articles editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1996 and has been admitted to practice in all trial courts in Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia.
