Biography

Matt Nanninga focuses his practice on general liability tort defense. He has advised clients ranging from large corporations to small business owners on claims handling, loss mitigation, and general defense strategy. He has served as lead counsel for his clients in both state and federal courts throughout Georgia. Mr. Nanninga has experience handling cases in numerous industries, including: major indoor/outdoor sports arenas and racetracks, amusement facilities, hotel and hospitality entities, restaurants and nightclubs in the food and beverage industry, national restaurant franchises, gas stations and convenience stores, as well as apartment communities facing high exposure negligent security claims. Mr. Nanninga also represents clients in the trucking and transportation industry.

Mr. Nanninga also serves on several national workers’ compensation panels, including the National Football League Players Association and Professional Hockey Players Association, wherein he is called upon to represent injured professional athletes in their pursuit of workers’ compensation and disability benefits.

Prior to entering law school, Mr. Nanninga played professional baseball in the Cincinnati Reds organization and played one season for a baseball club in Antwerp, Belgium. He has received an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell for his high ethical standards and professionalism.
