Nancy Ingram Jordan is Of Counsel at Warner Bates, serving clients in all areas of family law involving divorce and post-divorce trial issues, as well as appellate family law. She is a registered civil and domestic mediator and arbitrator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. Nancy also provides services to clients and to family trial lawyers as an appellate family lawyer and consultant. In this role, she helps navigate the options that exist, either prior to a final judgment, or following a final judgment in which time-sensitive decisions must be made.
Nancy brings over 20 years of additional civil and criminal appellate practice in both the state appellate courts and federal courts. Prior to entering private practice, she served as a felony prosecutor in the Cobb County District Attorney's Office, with a focus on appellate law. She has authored or co-authored over 400 appellate briefs and made over 70 oral arguments before the state appellate courts.
Nancy's skill and expertise in the appellate arena were recognized in 1999 when she was jointly awarded the Appellate Award for Outstanding Advocacy in Capital Cases by the Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation. Other significant honors and awards include inclusion among The National Advocates' Top 100 Lawyers (2015), the National Association of Distinguished Counsel's Top One Percent (2015), Super Lawyers (2012-2015) and Georgia Trend's Legal Elite (2013, 2014).
In addition to her law practice, Nancy is a noted speaker and author who shares her experience and legal knowledge with various professional groups through speaking engagements and articles. She has lectured at appellate and family law seminars sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia, the Cobb County Bar Association and Kennesaw State University's College of Continuing and Professional Education.
A native of Cobb County, Georgia, Nancy completed both her undergraduate work and her J.D. at Emory University in Atlanta. She has two grown sons and two yellow labs.
