Paul Justice is a Partner in the Atlanta office with extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Paul has represented hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers and other health care providers in a wide variety of corporate, transactional and regulatory matters, including compliance with the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute. In addition, Paul has significant experience with developing corporate compliance programs, conducting internal investigations, leading self-assessments of compliance program effectiveness, advising on voluntary disclosures with state and federal agencies, and negotiating Corporate Integrity Agreements. Paul has also advised hospital and health system boards on medical staff hearings and subsequent appeals. Prior to joining HBS, Paul served as Associate General Counsel for Emory University and Emory Healthcare. Paul also served as Vice President & General Counsel of Saint Joseph’s Health System for nearly ten years, prior to the formation of a joint operating company between Emory and Saint Joseph’s in 2012.

Paul is a former chair of the Health Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys, where he currently serves as President. Paul graduated cum laude from The University of Georgia and cum laude from The University of Georgia School of Law.
