Rachel Kanarek specializes in commercial lease transactions, with a focus on landlord representation. She has significant experience working with the varied components of mixed-use developments and navigating the unique situations that arise with such developments. In addition, Ms. Kanarek has represented and assisted a number of property and business owners' associations with interpreting their controlling documents and establishing methods and procedures for proper management thereunder. In each instance, Ms. Kanarek enables multiple entities with varied interests to work cohesively towards a mutually beneficial outcome.

Prior to joining Sheley, Hall & Williams, Ms. Kanarek was an Associate on the Real Estate Team at Parker Hudson Rainer & Dobbs LLP. Ms. Kanarek began her career at The Giacoma Law Firm, P.C. (f/k/a Weiss & Giacoma, P.C.), a boutique commercial real estate firm.

Ms. Kanarek received her B.A. from Duke University in 2001 and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2005.
