Mr. West has more than 25 years of international practice experience involving Latin American, European and Asian markets. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and French, and has extensive on-the-ground experience, particularly in Latin America and Europe. His practice focuses on cross-border inbound and outbound investment; international mergers and acquisitions; strategic alliances and joint ventures; international licensing; U.S. Export Controls; multi-jurisdictional enforceability of international agreements; international sales agency and distribution; market entry; and international privacy compliance.

Mr. West is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce of the Southeast; Director, International Section of the State Bar of Georgia; former Chairman of the International Partners Council, Metro Atlanta Chamber (2010,2011); former Co-chair of the Global Commerce Council, Metro Atlanta Chamber (2010,2011); and a member of the Advisory Council of the Georgia Tech Center for International Business Education and Research. He has been recognized for his expertise in the field of international law by Georgia Super Lawyers (2006 through 2011 editions).

He has been a regular guest lecturer at various professional organizations, companies and U.S. and Latin American universities, including, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, Emory University School of Law, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad Católica Argentina, and the Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil Seção de São Paulo on the topics of doing business in the U.S. and Latin America (particularly Brazil), foreign market entry and operations and legal aspects of cross-border transactions.
