She is admitted to practice in United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States District Court, Central District of California, and is a member of the California State Bar, Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce, Kern County Bar Association Women Lawyers Section, and Secretary Board Member of the Family Law Section.
Diana’s areas of practice as a Bakersfield attorney are family law, construction matters, insurance defense including major casualty, property damage, and premises liability. As a family law attorney, Diana represents clients in dissolution proceedings, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, guardianships, and domestic violence restraining orders.
Diana has handled numerous complex multi-million dollar property damage claims, including construction defect cases, railway derailment, and trucking accidents involving wrongful death claims. Her construction cases as a Bakersfield attorney include workmanship, products liability, ensuing damage claims, contracts and personal injury litigation occurring during job-site construction.
Diana has been actively defending general contractors, builders and industry leading developers for many years and is one of Borton Petrini’s most knowledgeable authorities on handling construction insurance on the construction defect defense team.
In addition to handling day-to-day litigation matters as a Bakersfield attorney, Diana analyzes the types of additional insured endorsements issued under the insurance policies and disputes issues of fact related to denials of additional insured and named insured coverage in order to ensure the client is reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred in defending the case.
Diana’s community service activities include volunteering her efforts toward children’s charities and pro bono work for the Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance Program representing victims of domestic violence.
She also enjoys event planning and home improvement projects. In her free time, Diana enjoys spending time with family and friends, along with outdoor activities, sports, travel, and supporting the San Francisco 49ers and Oregon Ducks football.
