Biography

Larry R. Seegull is a Principal and Office Litigation Manager in the Baltimore, Maryland, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He represents both private and public sector employers in all areas of labor and employment law.

Mr. Seegull advises clients on compliance, litigation avoidance, and limiting liability with respect to the full complement of employment decisions, ranging from hiring to discipline and termination. Mr. Seegull also defends clients in all types of employment-related litigation, arbitration and agency investigations, including claims of discrimination and sexual harassment, claims under the ADA and FMLA, claims for wages and overtime under the FLSA and parallel state laws, claims for breach of contract and employment related torts such as defamation and invasion of privacy, occupational safety and health claims, and litigation arising out of employee violations of non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and related issues.

Mr. Seegull also advises and defends employers with respect to union organizing, negotiations, strikes, and proceedings on unfair labor practices before the NLRB and the courts. His record of success in the early stages of lawsuits through dispositive motions has both rendered his clients devoid of liability and saved them additional substantial dollars by avoiding long, drawn out trials. In addition, he uses the most current technology to aid litigation and plan strategy.

Mr. Seegull has lectured and written extensively on labor and management issues and has been quoted in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal.
