Banking Law

Banks, savings and loans, credit unions and other financial institutions are governed by a number of federal and state laws and regulations, including the Right to Financial Privacy Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATROIT Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, the Truth in Savings Act, the Truth in Lending Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. But that doesn't mean all banks act in an honest and ethical manner. If you're the victim of bank discrimination, bank fraud, usury or your assets have been seized, contact banking attorneys immediately. Your lawyers can help you enforce your legal rights while also working with regulators, if appropriate, to file a formal complaint against the bank. A banking law firm can also work with you to gain access to your money if your FDIC-insured bank has been taken over by regulators and your assets have been frozen.
