Peter was Executive chairman of private explorer Cliveden Petroleum Co. Ltd, (Geneva, Houston, N'Djamena) then holding world's largest onshore exploration concession in the Republic of Chad. Farmed-in EnCana Corporation as concession partner and operator in Chad. In 2003 successfully negotiated the sale of part of Cliveden to CITIC and CNPC. Improved Cliveden Group's cash and equity position by around US$ 150 million. Peter was also a former Chairman and restructured MOS International Plc, a previously AIM listed oilfield services company in the areas of mechanical equipment & handling and decommissioning.
Peter Felter is a holder of PhD from Cambridge University, Faculty of Law (Trinity Hall), in International Financial Law. He received his LLM from Copenhagen University, Faculty of Law. Subsequent research grant to Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law, Oslo University, researching jurisdiction issues around offshore platforms.
Peter was listed in Legal directories as (i) "The World's Leading Lawyers" in Chamber's Global; and (ii) listed in Euromoney's "Guide to the World's Leading Energy Lawyers".
