Emily Jones is licensed in Montana and Arizona, and practices in a variety of litigation areas, including insurance defense, employment law, the defense of product liability claims, municipal liability defense, and commercial litigation. She has represented large corporate clients as well as small Montana and Arizona businesses, and is experienced in all areas of litigation management. Emily has direct experience in discovery, fact and expert depositions, mediation, and has successfully authored multiple dispositive motions on behalf of her clients. She also has successfully represented her clients at the appellate level. Emily’s trial experience ranges from arbitration hearings in employment matters to federal product liability trials, and includes serving as lead trial counsel. In 2014, Emily was selected as a Mountain States Super Lawyers Rising Star and National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys Top 10 Attorneys under age 40.
In addition to her law practice, Emily is active in the Billings community and the legal community. She is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Billings Head Start. She serves on the St. Vincent Healthcare SAINTS Silent Auction Committee and the Marynell Heringer Golf Tournament committee. Emily is also a member of the Order of Barristers, American Bar Association, DRI, the State Bar of Montana, the State Bar of Arizona, and the Yellowstone Area Bar Association. As a member of the Montana State Bar’s Judicial Relations Committee, she helps to organize the annual Bench-Bar CLE.
Emily is a fourth-generation Montanan, and a third-generation attorney. When not defending her clients, Emily loves fishing on the Yellowstone River. Her other interests include running, backpacking, traveling, and dabbling in international law.
