Obtained summary judgment for a district manager of a national retail pharmacy chain on a claim of intentional interference with business relations brought by a former employee in Macon County, Alabama.
Obtained a jury verdict for a trucking company against a former truck driver’s claim that the company fired him because of his race and in retaliation for his complaints about his co-workers’ racial slurs.
Obtained summary judgment and complete dismissal of six counts on behalf of a municipality in a case brought by a current employee alleging Constitutional violations and defamation.
Enforced an employer’s non-compete agreement with a former employee by obtaining a jury verdict awarding the employer lost profits and rejecting the employee’s claim of interference with his new employment.
Obtained summary judgment for a national retail pharmacy chain on retaliatory discharge claim.
Honors And Awards
Breanna has been recognized as a leading individual in the field of Labor and Employment by the 2017 edition of Chambers USA and has been named a Rising Star for the state of Alabama by the 2016-2017 editions of Mid-South Super Lawyers magazine.
Breanna graduated summa cum laude from The University of Alabama School of Law. While attending law school, she was elected to the Order of the Coif, she served as Alabama Editor of the Alabama Law Review, received the M. Leigh Harrison Academic Achievement Award, the Hugo Black Scholar Award, the University of Alabama School of Law Academic Excellence Scholarship, and the Cabaniss Johnston Scholarship. Breanna served as a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, the Farrah Student Law Society, and the ABA Student, Healthcare and Litigation Divisions.
Breanna graduated summa cum laude from The University of Alabama with a B.S. in Commerce and Business Administration in the concentration of Health Care Management. At Alabama, she received the B. Loomis Distinguished Student Award, the Alabama Association of Health Underwriters Award, the Frank O. Hinckley Academic Achievement Award, and the Charles T. Turner & Alabama Hospital Association Award. She was also named the Most Outstanding Healthcare Management Student and the Austin Scholar for Outstanding Senior in the Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration.
