As a member of our Private Clients, Trusts and Estates Practice Group , Howard provides comprehensive wealth planning for individuals and business owners. His representative work includes the use of innovative tax planning strategies and working with business owners to coordinate their business planning and their personal planning. Howard also works with United States and foreign individuals and businesses in all areas of international planning.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

My wife and I enjoy adventure traveling. We have hiked, biked, and dove in some of the most beautiful places in the world. We also love to attend live concerts of our favorite 70's and 80's bands.

What is the best part of your job?

With both a national and international practice, I get to meet and work closely with people from all over the world. By focusing on business owners, I have the privilege of assisting them in growing their businesses and achieving their business and personal goals.

This is all very fulfilling to me and allows me to develop deep relationships with my clients so that I can help them in all aspects of their lives.

What do you think are the three most important things you do to serve your clients?

First, I listen ten times as much as I talk. I want to find out what they want to accomplish versus showing up with my preconceived assumptions. I want my clients to feel heard.

Second, I feel that too many attorneys look for all the reasons why clients can't do something, as opposed to getting creative and finding ways to reach their goals. I am a problem solver by nature and love to come up with innovative ways to do things that no one else has ever told my clients about. This is a large part of the value I provide my clients when they invest their time and money with me.

Third, I am a very good technician but an even better counselor. I spend a huge amount of time on the human aspects of the matters I work on because I care about more than just the numbers.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

My wife and I enjoy adventure traveling. We have hiked, biked, and dived in some of the most beautiful places in the world. We also love to attend live concerts of our favorite 70's and 80's bands.
