Why did you become an attorney?
Growing up, I was exposed to the law by both my grandfather’s and father’s respective careers. That exposure, coupled with my heavy involvement with Student Government Association (SGA) during my undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama, piqued my curiosity and, ultimately, paved the way to my career in the law. Plus, my being a firstborn child with a “Type A” personality and a penchant for rules probably had something to do with it as well.
What is the best part of your job?
Hands down, it would have to be meeting and exceeding our clients’ expectations on a regular basis.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My husband and I are avid travelers. I have visited six of the seven continents thus far and am planning to visit the remaining one on my list-Antarctica-within the next year or so. I also enjoy supporting local charities and ministries, gardening, taking in Birmingham’s burgeoning restaurant and music scene, and, of course, spending time with family and friends.
