Sarah Phillips LaDu was born and raised in North Carolina. She graduated from the University of North Carolina where she received a Bachelor's degree in European History. In 2010, Sarah Phillips received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law. During her time in law school Sarah Phillips was named as a Senior Editor for the Journal of the Legal Profession; served as a research assistant for Professor Grace Lee, researching debt offerings and credit card securitizations; and worked through an externship program for Chief U.S. District Judge William H. Steele.
