Steven Strother is an associate in the firm’s Birmingham office. His practice encompasses Corporate and Tax Law, Real Estate Law, and Trust and Estate Administration. Steven is also a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Alabama. Steven began his career in 2007 at Deloitte & Touche LLP, a public accounting firm, serving on the audits of several large public companies throughout the Southeast in industries including Banking, Retail, Real Estate Investment Trusts, Manufacturing, and Hotel & Casinos.
Throughout most of law school, Steven continued to work in Deloitte’s audit practice. During his final year of law school, Steven co-edited Real Estate Handbook: Land Laws of Alabama, 9th Edition (with Robert McCurley, Jr.) and Alabama Legislation, 8th Edition (with the Alabama Law Institute and Robert McCurley, Jr.). Steven was also a Scholar of Merit five times. Prior to joining Cabaniss Johnston, Steven worked in litigation consulting, primarily advising clients on complex accounting matters.
Steven is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
