Why did you become an attorney?
Growing up, my parents placed a high value on communication skills, whether written or oral. They stressed the importance of clearly and concisely conveying ideas. As a result, I valued those skills and actively developed them as I grew. Being a lawyer allows me to use those skills on a daily basis, and I am glad for the opportunity.
Who has inspired you in your career?
Prior to joining Sirote, I clerked for United States Bankruptcy Judge Margaret A. Mahoney, who is now retired. I knew I was interested in bankruptcy law when I began the clerkship, but Judge Mahoney’s guidance, advice, and perspective motivated me to ardently pursue a career in the field.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am the proud father of twin girls, June and Georgia. I like to joke that I have two jobs-as a lawyer and as a father-but spending time with my kids and watching them grow has become my most valued pastime.
