Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in l967; grew up in central Florida; married to Patti Simpson with five children; settled in Birmingham, Alabama since 1990. Earned a B.A. degree, with honors (graduated 6th in class) from the University of Florida in 1989, and a J.D. Degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, Magna Cum Laude. Post graduate work at the University of Alabama, Birmingham Graduate School of Business. Adjunct Professor of Law, Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, 2003—. Regularly Teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Law. Law school Awards and Memberships: Curia Honoris, 1994.
