Ian J. Gemmell is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department and focuses his practice on all aspects of civil litigation. He has represented manufacturers, businesses and individuals in a variety of matters including products liability, premises liability, professional liability, warranty litigation, insurance defense and personal injury matters. Mr. Gemmell has handled cases in the state and federal courts throughout New England. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Jersey and has appeared pro hac vice in Illinois, Maine and Vermont.
Mr. Gemmell is a graduate of Bates College, where he majored in Rhetoric and minored in Spanish while participating in a study abroad program in Salamanca, Spain. Mr. Gemmell earned his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 2010. While at Suffolk, Mr. Gemmell was active in multiple trial, appellate and negotiation competitions and served as President of the Phi Alpha Delta community service organization. Prior to joining Peabody & Arnold LLP Mr. Gemmell was an associate at Campbell Campbell Edwards & Conroy, PC. Mr. Gemmell also attended the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy at Stanford Law School in 2012.
