Niara Fraser is a qualified attorney at law and certified mediator who was called to the Bar of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 2007 and thereafter to the Bar of Barbados in 2010. She received a Bachelors of Law Degree Second Class Honours (upper division) from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus Barbados and also completed the Legal Education Certification at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago, graduating on the Principal Honour's List and obtaining the award of the Pelham Sloane-Seale Memorial prize for the best performance in Conveyance and Registration of Title.

During the period 2007-2009, she practiced mainly as a litigation lawyer with her primary responsibility being civil litigation. Currently she is an associate with Chancery Chambers in Barbados under the leadership of Dr Trevor Carmichael where she focuses mainly on Corporate/Commercial law and Conveyancing.
