Biography

Daniel Moar concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, representing a broad range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies to small businesses and individuals. His experience includes complex and high-exposure commercial cases involving breach of contract, business torts, business valuation disputes, non-competition agreements, consumer protection statutes, and intellectual property claims. He has defended directors and officers of corporations in shareholder disputes involving mergers and acquisitions, and against claims alleging negligence, bad faith, and breach of fiduciary duty. In addition, Dan has advised clients in the food and beverage industry in a variety of legal areas, including resolving disputes over franchise and distribution agreements, and addressing intellectual property issues.

Dan was a Dean's List student at the Georgetown University Law Center and graduated summa cum laude from Canisius College. As a law student, Dan received a Public Service Award, was an editor of the American Criminal Law Review and served as Student Counsel for the Appellate Litigation Clinic. He has worked on numerous appeals, including arguing before the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit as part of his responsibilities with the Appellate Litigation Clinic.

Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Dan was a confidential law clerk to the Hon. John T. Elfvin and Hon. William M. Skretny of the United States District Court, Western District of New York.
