In her regulatory law practice, Carolyn provides advice to energy clients regarding tolls and tariffs issues, national energy applications and environmental issues including permitting and approvals. In her insolvency practice she acts for creditors and trustees in a variety of insolvency and debt recovery proceedings including receiverships and bankruptcy.
Carolyn's insurance defence practice is primarily focused on motor vehicle claims, CGL policy issues, property loss and condominium disputes. She also pursues subrogated actions for insurers and provides coverage opinions. Through her advocacy, Carolyn has represented clients at trial in both the Provincial Court of Alberta and Court of Queen's Bench, in mediations, judicial dispute resolutions and in commercial and civil chambers.
Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Art in politics from Queen's University in 2009, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Calgary in 2012.
