Jane Freeman: Attorney with Field Law


Jane Freeman has been a member of the firm's Insurance and Litigation Groups since completing her articles at Field in 2006. She currently maintains a litigation practice, with a focus on insurance defence. She has extensive experience providing advice and defending actions arising from both property, casualty and commercial general liability policies, as well as professional liability errors and omissions. Jane also pursues subrogated actions for insurers and provides coverage opinions.

Jane assists a variety of clients with a wide range of litigation problems, including estate litigation, contractual disputes involving real property transactions and commercial disputes. She has represented clients regarding matters involving the interpretations of wills, challenges against executors, executors' compensation, as well as claims with respect to dependant relief. She has represented clients before all levels of Court in Alberta, as well as in many forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
