Kamini Dowe is an associate in our Labour and Employment and Corporate Commercial Litigation and Arbitration groups in our Calgary office.
Kamini regularly provides labour and employment advice for a diverse range of clients, including the public and private sector. In her labour and employment practice, she represents clients on matters including labour board hearings, labour arbitrations, wrongful dismissal litigation, sexual harassment and discrimination claims, human rights complaints, privacy issues, human resources policy and procedure drafting and enforcement, employment benefits, hiring and firing and employment contract drafting. Kamini also acts on a broad range of civil litigation matters, with a focus on corporate commercial disputes.
Kamini has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Labour Relations Board. She has represented clients at arbitration (including labour arbitration) and has also conducted matters under the Alberta Human Rights Act.
As well, Kamini is an active member of the BLG Student Recruitment Committee and provides volunteer services for various Pro Bono Law Alberta initiatives.
